Refract — refraction, and dispersion

As light splits into its colors passing through a prism, Refract refracts a single subject through the lenses of economics, philosophy, technology, culture, history, and society — dispersing it across dimensions. The name comes straight from refraction.

What is different — the multidimensional principle

Refract does not file single-thread event reports. No piece stops at the first-order fact; every one follows the second- and third-order ripples and the cross-domain effects. A rate hike, for instance, runs through a liquidity squeeze → higher sovereign yields → rising corporate interest costs and shrinking investment → weaker hiring sentiment → on into assets and the currency. If it reads flat, it is not Refract.

Our readers already know the first-order facts. What we aim at is the non-obvious second- and third-order insight — "so what cascades next, and what should I do about it."

How we write — AI is the engine; the center of gravity is verification and review

We write fast with AI, but the value sits in data-and-fact fidelity (the cardinal rule) and human review. Every piece passes through this pipeline:

• Multidimensional analysis (prism) — one subject refracted and dispersed through several lenses.
• Data and fact verification — every claim is bound to a fact ledger and must clear the factcheck hard gate before it ships.
• Deterministic code verification — validate.py mechanically enforces reference integrity, schema, and ship-state consistency.
• Author review — a human reads it last.

The verification panel at the top of every published piece shows this evidence (fact-check, code-check, ship-state) as it is. Where there is a weakness or a caveat, we do not hide it — we note it as a caveat.

We write for professionals in their 30s and 40s — a highly educated, high-density audience. There are no ads. The reader is the protagonist.
